Tennis Brings Vibrant Performance to Fox Theater on Pollen Tour

Bookmarked post

Tennis, the husband and wife indie-pop duo, brought a vibrant performance to the Fox Theater for their 2023 springtime Pollen Tour.  The duo composed of Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley, work together in harmony to achieve a seamless union of soft rock and unique pop melodies. The setlist consisted of tracks both old and new, appealing to a wide audience.

One cannot help but be transcended by Tennis’ dreamy vocals and lively instrumentals. Their newest album Pollen, is the perfect springtime album. Songs such as “One Night with the Valet” and “Pollen Song” use soft descriptions of nature to illuminate human emotions in an impactful way.

During the show, Alaina offered a chance for the audience to ask questions about her long-lasting marriage with Patrick. She mentioned that both she and Patrick are very opinionated people, but at the end of the day, their love is greater than their ideas. You can tell by the way the duo interacts on stage that they have a deep love for music and each other – that passion and love is present in every melody and lyric in Tennis’ discography. Alaina then spoke about living life for yourself and not for others, and by doing that you would attract people into your life that are good for you. Her words were warm and inspiring, like advice an older sister would give you.

Tennis puts on a spectacular show. From their sparkling visuals to the wholesome crowd interactions and the duo’s spirited stage presence – it was an incredibly memorable experience. Alaina and Patrick both carry such whimsical energy which is utterly contagious.  I would highly encourage attending a Tennis show in the future and I cannot wait to see what they do next.

Show Date: 04.26.23 | Oakland, CA @ Fox Theater | Tennis Brings Vibrant Performance
