Odd Mob returned to music city this past week while on his 2026 North American tour. Hailing from Brisbane Australia, Harry Hope, better known as Odd Mob is a DJ and producer known for his unique tech house sound. Odd Mob blends retro textures with modern beats, creating tracks that are both danceable and introspective. He broke through in Australia in 2014, and in 2022 his track “Left to Right” became a global sensation, earning support from many big names like Skrillex, Diplo, and Disclosure.

Safe to say the anticipation for his return to Nashville was high, especially after the original date scheduled for January 29th was postponed due to weather. Fans who had been holding onto their tickets for weeks finally got their chance to witness the Aussie sensation. The show took place at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl, a premier entertainment destination in Music City. The night started out strong at 8:00 p.m with support from local tech house DJs squuid and Billy Cave. Both openers played an hour-long set as EDM enthusiasts filled the room adorned with unique outfits. As Billy Cave neared the end of his set the crowd was fully energized, setting the tone for an unforgettable night.
At 10 p.m., the venue erupted in cheers as Odd Mob took the stage for a high-octane, two-hour tech house set. The crowd danced to every beat of many clever edits of pop songs with heavy EDM influences including his club remix of “Get Busy” by Sean Paul to his massive tracks like “Losing Control” and “Won’t Be Possible.” Over the next two hours the energy in the room only grew stronger and stronger with each transition and Odd Mob’s infectious stage presence was contagious. He moved effortlessly behind the decks, mixing with precision. He also played many great unreleased tracks including one of my current favorites in collaboration with fellow DJ and producer Omnom.

As his set progressed, I made my way up to the venue’s balcony for an incredible view of the show, watching bright lights flash through the dancing crowd. Everyone seemed to be having such a great time.Eager to join I made my way down and this is when I realized I was in one of the best crowds I have been in in a while. Every single person there was so excited to be there so much so that I mentioned it to others in the crowd. It reminded me so much of a crowd you would find yourself in at a rave. It embodied the “PLUR” philosophy that defines the incredible EDM community. As I looked around I saw the crowd exchange smiles, hugs, and trinkets with one another as they danced. This really made me realize how welcoming and energetic the Nashville electronic scene is.

The highlight of the night came with a seamless transition to one of his latest releases, “Coming Up (It’s Dare).” As the familiar, funky vocal hook teased through the venue, the room held its collective breath in anticipation. When the beat finally dropped, the crowd exploded in a frenzy of movement, with the heavy, rhythmic bass line.
As Odd Mob’s set neared its end, the crowd experienced a shift from gritty tech house to something more atmospheric with his latest release “Never Alone” (feat. Lizzy Land).” This melodic track served as a breathtaking mid-tempo break, with Lizzy’s ethereal vocals soaring over a driving bassline that felt both nostalgic and futuristic. He then ended his set with “World, Hold On (Children of the Sky).” one of the biggest dance tracks of the decade. The room transformed into a singular, pulsing entity as the crowd joined in for the famous, uplifting whistling melody, making it the perfect way to cap off a night of pure euphoria.
Once the show was over, Odd Mob made his way down to the floor to greet and chat with fans, snapping photos and sharing a few laughs before the lights finally came up. It stood there processing what I had just experienced. I just stood there for a moment, trying to process everything I’d just experienced. Seeing the Brooklyn Bowl packed for a tech‑house show on a Wednesday night felt like a huge testament to how far the Nashville dance scene has come. I am so excited to see what Odd Mob does next and can’t wait for him to come back!
