Marianas Trench Makes a Roaring Return on The Force of Nature Tour

Marianas Trench, a pop band formed back in 2001 most well known for their songs “Stutter” and “Desperate Measures” recently came back on tour from a 5 year touring hiatus. Towards the beginning of the year the band released two new singles “A Normal Life” and “Lighting and Thunder” which later prompted the release of their latest album “Haven.”

With this new era of the band they also announced the first tour that they’ve had since 2019 and at the very end of September, The Force Of Nature Tour made its way to The Fillmore in Philadelphia.

Monday night was filled with energy the minute the fans stepped into the venue. You can tell everyone in there was super excited to see this band perform live again. The crowd was already singing and dancing along to the music playing in the venue before, during and in between the first few openers of the show.

The buildup to Marianas Trench’s set was incredible. Following the song “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, the stage was lit up with twinkling colored lights and thunder leading up to their previously mentioned single “A Normal Life.” The second the band stepped out on stage the crowd was going wild for them. Singing every word right back with them.

The band played a great mix of songs from their latest album as well as their older albums dating all the way back to 2010. For two of those songs their lead vocalist, Joshua Ramsay came down to sing with the crowd. The artist made his way around the whole floor singing and jumping around with the crowd.

Later in their set, both the band and the fans were surprised with a guest guitar player during their song “Fallout.” That guest happening to be Royce Whittaker, a former band member of theirs. The crowd went nuts over seeing this reunion of them.

There is still a good amount of shows left in the US before the band hits Canada in November and I would highly suggest making a trip to see them if you can. Marianas Trench is a fantastic band to see live even if you only know a few songs.

Show Date: 09.30.24 // Philadelphia, PA @ The Fillmore // Marianas Trench Makes a Roaring Return with The Force of Nature Tour
