Brooklyn-based rock band Juice joined Allen Stone for his A Bit of Everywhere Tour this fall, bringing their energetic performances to audiences across the country. Their final stop supporting the tour took place at the iconic Gothic Theatre in Englewood, marking a memorable conclusion to their time on the road. The band, featuring Ben Stevens on lead vocals, Christian Rose on violin and vocals, Kamau Burton on acoustic guitar and vocals, Daniel Moss on guitar, Rami El-Abidin on bass, and Miles Clyatt on drums, delivered a high-energy performance that kept the crowd fully pumped for the night ahead.

I first came across Juice in 2021 through my Spotify Discover Weekly, and I quickly became obsessed with their song “Make Pretend.” I was captivated by how seamlessly they blend multiple genres, including rock, pop, hip-hop, and R&B, creating a sound that felt fresh and unique. Many in the audience seemed unfamiliar with the band’s music at first, but they quickly became engaged. Juice’s diverse sound offers something for everyone, with a variety of styles that draw listeners in regardless of their musical tastes.

One of my favorite songs the band performed live was “DiCaprio (Love Me All the Time).” As the lights dimmed, a circular pattern danced over the crowd while the band collaborated seamlessly to create a funky, fresh groove that electrified the atmosphere. The energy the band exudes is refreshing and creates a sense of belonging, making you feel like a part of their family. The way all six of them blend together is nothing short of magical, creating a harmonious and vibrant sound that captivates every listener.

Not only that, but it’s evident that each member is exceptionally talented in their instrument of choice. Daniel Moss was absolutely shredding on the guitar, while Christian Rose’s violin solo was nothing short of breathtaking.

Their newest EP, Nothing Like a Dream came out earlier this year and is already some of their best work in my opinion. The song “Cruelest Thing” has an earthy, psychedelic, and folky vibe, blended with touches of modern R&B, making it irresistibly addictive to listen to. Even though the band didn’t play my favorite songs, “Girlfriend Song” and “Make Pretend,” I discovered some of their newer tracks that I immediately added to my playlists, quickly becoming new favorites of mine.

Juice is a band you’ll want to keep on your radar. Their talent is undeniable, both in their sound and stage presence, and it’s clear they’re poised to make a major impact in the music world. With their unique blend of genres and electrifying live performances, they have the potential to reach even greater heights, captivating a wide range of listeners as they continue to evolve and push creative boundaries. If you get the chance to catch them on tour or even just give their music a listen, I would highly recommend it!
