Alternative singer-songwriter jxdn put on a high-powered performance in Memphis, Tennessee while on his ‘I HOPE THIS NEVER ENDS’ TOUR supporting his latest and debut album. jxdn is currently on tour with opener and rising band “ Beauty School Dropout.”

Both Beauty School Dropout and jxdn share a similar sound, this paired with their intense energy it made for the perfect opener to set the atmosphere for the evening. The crowd seemed to be very familiar with the band as fans jumped and screamed along to their songs.

Soon after, the venue was filled with screams once again as jxdn and his band walked onto the stage. He kicked off his show with an intense performance of his latest single “Friends With Benefits.” He then performed hits from his album Tell Me About Tomorrow, such as “LAST TIME” and “CRACK MY SKULL”.

While jxdn’s set includes songs surrounding love and relationships I enjoyed seeing that it included many songs  surrounding mental health. The singer also took moments to talk about it a bit more telling the crowd that he wanted to make music about important topics.

jxdn’s set also included a couple of covers including a “Yellow” by Coldplay and “The Hills” by The Weeknd. It was amazing to see how he performed both these songs in his unique sound and style. He told fans “ I play songs that make me feel good at my shows, and these songs make me feel good.”

Fans were also treated to a performance of an unreleased song “Tastes like heaven” which the crowd seemed too enjoy as they soon began to sing the chorus along with him. It did not stop there, he then brought Beauty School Dropout back out on stage to perform “FREAK” a song they have recently released together.

Aside from his energetic and high-powered  stage presence while singing I enjoyed seeing all the interactions jxdn had with fans in the crowd throughout the show. At one point in the night he gave his mic to a fan to sing a verse of one of his songs.  He thanked fans for coming out, told them how much he appreciated them and mentioned being happy to be “somewhat”  home as he is from Chattanooga, Tn.

jxdn ended the night with a rather lovely encore to perform his upcoming single, “Elevated Heartbreak” as he held red roses in his hand to pass out to fans in the crowd.

With still a few dates left on his ‘I HOPE THIS NEVER ENDS’ tour this is a performance you don’t want to miss.

Show Date: 04.07.23 | Memphis, TN @ Minglewood Hall | jxdn Tastes Like Heaven
