All the way from Manchester, England this unique band made their way to Union Transfer in Philadelphia this past Wednesday night. Hot Milk, an amazing emo rock band opened up the night with more energy and spirit than you could ever imagine.

Hot Milk, formed by lead singer Han Mee and guitarist Jim Shaw, pulled off an incredible set among “The Vamp Tour” currently running till the end of May 2025.

This English band lit up their show with their latest single “90 Seconds To Midnight” and the crowd were up off their feet in seconds. The moment the band came out on stage their energy surged through the roof. I’ve never seen a band jump, spin and kick around more than Hot Milk does within just the first few seconds of their set. It was definitely a challenge to keep up with.

The band played a mix of songs from their 2023 album “A Call To The Void” with top hits such as “HORROR SHOW” and “PARTY ON MY DEATHBED.” Knowing the album myself I can definitely say that it is an incredible selection of songs. The music is so energetic and full of life, you’d want to get up and move whether it’s jumping, dancing, or having your own mini mosh pit.

Towards the middle of the show they played a personal favorite of mine, “BREATHING UNDERWATER.” This song is so full of passion and emotion it has a special place in my heart and I’m sure in the band’s as well. By the response of the crowd during this song I’d say this is the band’s most cherished moment. The middle of their performance went silent right before the bridge of the song and the crowd sang the words louder than you can imagine. You could feel the entire room burst with emotion the moment they sang aloud. Truly, it was a breathtaking moment.

Hot Milk is definitely an amazing band to see live if you can get the chance. As mentioned before, they will be on tour through to the end of May so there is still a good amount of time to see them if you get the chance.

Show Date: 4.23.25 // Philadelphia, PA @ Union Transfer // Hot Milk Lights Up Philadelphia on the Vamp Tour
